Tragic! ‘Drunk’ final year student beaten to death for knocking down five in Osun
An alleged ‘yahoo boy’ identified only as Fisayo was beaten to death on Monday after he allegedly knocked and killed about four persons with his car.
The deceased, a final year Building Technology student of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, was said to be driving around recklessly with two friends when they knocked down a pedestrian in Akoda.
The occupants of the car allegedly didn’t wait to help their victim, prompting eyewitnesses to give them a chase. They would later hit another victim at Eleha, Bepo.
Fisayo and his friends allegedly didn’t stop to attend to their second victim, and would later ram into a bike rider with his passengers at Orita Oloki, where they were eventually tracked down.
Fisayo’s friends, however, escaped the scene before the mob could get hold of them. The final year student who was said to have written his final exam as an undergraduate just last week wasn’t so lucky.
He was beaten to death by the mob.
A search through the vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of several drugs, which led the mob to believe the occupants of the car were under the influence.
