Third Mainland Bridge closes for repair August 24
July 24, 2018
The Federal Government has postponed the three-day closure of the Third Mainland Bridge, which was initially scheduled for July 27.
Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, had earlier announced that the bridge would be closed for three days to allow assessment tests on some parts of the bridge.
Fashola, today, announced that the shutdown will now last from August 24 to August 26.
The Minister said the extension was necessary to ensure ease of movement for Lagos residents who have had a torrid time with the gridlock on Oshodi-Apapa expressway and other inward roads.
