Teenage girl arrested for drugging motorcycle rider in Katsina
Zinatu Abubakar, a 19-year-old girl was arrested after she drugged a bike man and tried to steal his bike in Katsina State.
Gambo Isa, the command’s spokesperson, said the suspect belonged to a gang operating in the state.
He said the bike man identified as Wada started becoming drowsy after being given a piece of chocolate by the suspect as he was taking her to her destination.
The suspect was said to have had accomplices, one Abubakar and a Chairman, who tried to steal the motorcycle while the victim was unconscious.
Once people’s attention was drawn to the incident, the accomplices ran into a bush nearby while the suspect was taken to the police station.
Zinatu reportedly confessed to the crime and many others in Kaduna and Kano.
The spokesperson advised Okada riders and commercial drivers not to take food from anyone they don’t know.
The suspect is helping the police with information to get her accomplices.
