Senate orders NCC to stop intended hike in data tariff
The Nigerian Senate has ordered that the intended hike in data tariff by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) be immediately stopped.
Service providers in the country have already notified subscribers that the new tariff for data consumption would kick off on Thursday, December 1.
The Senate during Wednesday’s plenary said all parties should be consulted, with an agreement reached before such hikes can be implemented.
