REVENGE: Woman rains hot water mixed with pepper on husband for beating her

The love between Mr Alaska Mohammed and his wife Janet Mohammed has gone sour after the latter allegedly rained hot pepper mixed with pepper on her husband.

The Mohammeds, living in the Mandela area of Minna, Niger, had quarreled over their 11 months old son’s health on Monday.

Alaska said he prevented his wife from taking the boy to church when he noticed he was running temperature. Janet insisted.

The disagreement, according to Alaska, led to a brawl, which was later settled by his mother.

Janet would later take her pound of flesh for being hit by her husband.

“After my mother settled us she told me that I will regret for laying my hands on her but I ignored the threat. As I was watching television and taking my breakfast, she splashed the mixture on me,’’ Alaska, who was receiving treatment at Minna General Hospital, told newsmen on Tuesday.

The victim, who suffered serious burns on his face and body, added that before family members and other neighbours could come to his aid his wife had disappeared.

Police PRO in the state, ASP Muhammad Abubakar, said the matter has been reported to the police.

Abubakar said that though the issue was between a husband and wife, it was still criminal and not a civil case.

“We have commenced investigation into the matter although the woman in question is on the run. Whenever we arrest her we will charge her accordingly,’’ he said.
