UPDATE: Woman who bathed girl, 11, with hot water arrested in Imo
Police in Imo State say they have finally arrested the woman who allegedly rained hot water on an 11-year-old primary six pupil.
The woman, Mrs Promise Obinna, had fled with her husband after the incident.
She allegedly went into the kitchen to carry hot water that was on fire and rained the content on Chika Nkwazema.
Chika had intervened in a fight between her mother and Mrs Promise.
She was said to have lost consciousness and was rushed to the federal medical center, Owerri, where she is currently receiving medical attention at the children’s ward.
The hot water severely affected her breasts, Labs, buttocks, hands, face, back and legs.
