Protesters storm INEC office in Osun over governorship election re-run
Some supporters believed to be members of the People Democratic Party have stormed the headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to protest against the Osun State Governorship re-run election this Thursday.
The protesters carried placards with inscriptions like: “No To rerun”, “INEC don’t conspire with APC.”
They castigated the INEC for not declaring Senator Ademola Adeleke the winner of the poll after he got the highest number of votes in the state.
They also clamoured that INEC should declare him winner.
The re-run has been slated for Thursday, September 27.
