US arrests Nigerian Tunde Ijaoba over criminal, immigration violations
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) says Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, a Nigerian national, is in custody awaiting deportation following multiple criminal convictions in the United States.
According to authorities, laoba entered the country illegally and was later convicted of several offences, including aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm, assault and aggravated assault, armed robbery, obstruction, drug sales, and escaping police custody.
ICE also says he is a former member of the Bloods, a violent street gang.
Officials confirmed that a final order of removal has been issued, and he remains in ICE custody while arrangements for his deportation are finalized.
