Police officer “shoots wife, self over marital problems” in Zambia
A police Constable in Zambia has allegedly shot his wife to death after demanding for a divorce.
Kelvin Kabaso, 26, allegedly pulled the trigger on his 23-year-old wife, Febby Chabamba before shooting himself on Tuesday.
The couple were said to have been battling marital problems before the tragic incident. Chabamba, herself an officer, had reportedly called her mother to help settle the disagreements.
Kabaso reportedly left his point of duty for his home on Tuesday morning, where he allegedly shot his wife dead.
He was said to have shot himself afterwards but survived.
Police in Zambia have ruled the incident “gender based violence related.”
