Police kill member of five-man robbery gang who broke into estate in Ogun
A member of a five-man arm robbery gang was killed by Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives in Ogun on Friday.
The armed gang had gained entrance into Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, robbing residents of valuable items.
Police authorities in the state said operatives arrived the area and engaged the hoodlums in a gun battle, killing one while others escaped with gunshots injuries.
Police spokesperson Abimbola Oyeyemi said the operatives recovered four laptops, wallets, mobile phones and other valuable properties belonging to the occupants of the house.
Police Commissioner in the state, Oyeyemi said, had ordered a manhunt for the fleeing hoodlums.
