Police deny laying siege at Saraki, Ekweremadu’s residences
July 24, 2018
Police has denied laying siege at the residences of Senate President Bukola Saraki and his Deputy Ike Ekweremadu early this morning.
There had been reports that operatives of the DSS attempted to prevent Saraki from going to the National Assembly as he had been asked to report to the police over alleged sponsorship of political thugs and criminals in Kwara.
Saraki later appeared at the Senate chamber and oversaw the defection of 15 lawmakers from APC.
Police say the operatives seen at the front of the Senate President’s residence early Tuesday morning are those in his convoy.
