Photos: Nnewi petrol station after inferno, explosions
Organiser Filling at Amuko Junction, Nnewichi Nnewi, Anambra State, was destroyed by fire on Monday morning.
Reports say there is no functional fire station in the area hence the severity of the damage the inferno caused.
Witnesses said they heard explosions after the fire broke out around 6:20 a.m.
The accident happened as a tanker was dispensing fuel to the filing station, reports say.
No life was lost to the tragedy. A car was razed.
The accident happened 11 days after the deadly Nnewi gas plant explosions.
