PHOTOS: Man jumps into Lagos lagoon from 3rd Mainland Bridge
The body of a yet-to-be-identified man has been recovered from the Lagos lagoon.
The man, according to the police, jumped into the Lagoon from 3rd Mainland Bridge Friday morning.
LASEMA said in a statement made available to Neusroom Friday afternoon that the man asked the driver to stop for him to urinate. He jumped as soon as he alighted from the car.
Local divers and marine police were able to recover the body and transferred him to Ebute Ero division.
The deceased’s reason for committing suicide was not known, but the incident is the latest in a worrying rate of suicide attempts on the bridge.
No details yet on the man’s identity.
