PHOTOS: Crash barrier saves 22 passengers from plunging into Lagos lagoon
A total of 22 passengers escaped death on Wednesday morning when their bus almost crashed into Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.
The Rapid Response Squad said the impact of the accident which occurred around 6:30 am was only lessened by the crash barrier on the bridge after a fully loaded Volkswagen LT bus somersaulted on its way to the Island.
“Our men had hectic time attending to the 22 passengers of the bus who sustained varied degrees of injuries,” the RRS said.
“The First Aid knowledge of officers was helpful as our men joined medical workers in administering aid on victims”.
