No, 2face hasn’t backed out of February 6 protest
Rumours had it, Wednesday night, pop icon 2face Idibia “bowed to pressure” and pulled out of February 6 mass protest against bad governance.
It’s not true, NewsroomNG authoritavely reports.
Enough is Enough (EiE) head Yemi Adamolekun told our correspondent the “news” was “very fake”.
EiE is among the organisations partnering with 2face to lead the peaceful march.
2face’s manager Efe Omorogbe also dismissed rumours the protest was cancelled.
“It’s not true,” he told us on Thursday morning.
The protest will go ahead as planned.
“On Monday, February 6, 2017, please join me at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, by 8am,” 2face asked Nigerians.
President Muhammad Buhari, who has been vacationing and receiving medical attention on London while Nigerian nurses protest over salary delay, is expected back at work on the same date.
