#NigeriaDecides2019: Fear of bias as police operatives endorse Buhari’s second term
Police officers have been pictured endorsing President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in office.
Police and other security operatives are expected to be apolitical in discharging their duties.
Buhari who has maintained his dedication to a free, fair and peaceful election gave an order to operatives on Monday that ballot box snatchers during Saturday’s poll should be made to pay for it with their lives.
The order sparked controversy.
Police authorities have said that the authenticity of the photo was being investigated.
“The IGP Mohammed Adamu has charged the Digital and Forensic Unit of @PoliceNG to investigate the authenticity of this photo, to ascertain whether it’s real or photo-shopped. The outcome of the investigation and appropriate actions will be made known to the public,” the Force said.

The endorsement comes with little surprise as Buhari recently approved the increment of salary for the Nigeria Police Force.
