MTN reportedly sacks 2,000 workers after Visafone takeover
South African telecoms giant are the new owners of Visafone, reports say.
At least 2,000 employees of Visafone, most of them Nigerians, are as good as sacked after MTN took over Visafone, we we’re told.
Reports say the relieved workers were paid three months salaries as severance package.
Reports say they were fired on January 5, 2016.
MTN reportedly said it would issue a statement to clarify the takeover, and probably the sacking, on Thursday..
