Ministerial list: Please don’t ask Buhari these 5 questions
For the record, President Muhammadu Buhari is the first Nigerian president to mark the Independence Day without a cabinet.
Nigerians waited for #TheList for months. National anxiety was almost topping the level it reached when the nation waited for former electoral chief Prof Atahiru Jega to declare Buhari winner of the 2015 general elections.
The list was unvield, and Nigerians said they were “disappointed” to see “the same old faces” make the “saintly” roll call.
That is not the only disappointment Nigerians have expressed since the “partial” list surfaced.
Here are five other talking points…ones we’re sure Buhari and his handlers would rather not have people talk about.
Where are the young guys?
Or, to be soft on Buhari, where are the guys below the age of 50.
The average age of the nominees is 53, says EiENigeria. That’s a pretty young list.
You may never get to know how old the nominees are until you understand this tweet.
Interesting discovery
Saraki Senior once screened Audu Ogbeh as a Minister in 1979
Today(2015), Saraki Junior is also gonna screen him too

Many young people reacted to that by asking “where are the leaders of tomorrow?”
Well, some of those leaders just dished out an exceptional leadership award to a suspected drug baron. That’s where they are.
Besides, young people are the leaders of tomorrow, not today. Don’t worry, you’ll lead when tomorrow comes.
Minsters of what?
Buhari seemed to have succeeded in appointing people without knowing where to fix them.
This means the Senate will screen these old men and women without any focus on their portfolio. No narrow questions. All general questions. Senate President Bukola Saraki’s vow to enact a meticulous screening process is dead before arrival.
Why an incomplete list?
Buhari had four months to name those he’ll like to work with. He promised to reveal their names in September. After four months, he still cannot figure out the entire list at once. We’re probably back with “Baba go slow.”
Oh…Buhari will forward the remaining names to the Senate on Wednesday.
…and if he’d named all your ministers in four months, Nigerians would probably accused him of being unnecessarily hasty.
What now with the anti-corruption campaign?
We don’t know…but this tweep may have figured it out…
Some of the names on President Buhari's #MinisterialList have effectively rendered his anti-corruption campaign completely useless!

Where is the change?
This, perhaps, is the most important question…and one Buhari cannot answer with mere words.
Nigerians should get their reply after four years. No matter how slow Buhari moves, everybody should eventually arrive at 2019…steadily.
Gosh, where do I begin? So thankful for this #MinisterialList. It's like waiting for a Kia Picanto & getting a Ferrari. Nigeria WILL change!
