Meat cleaver sticks in man’s skull after fighting couple throw weapon out the window
A man was left with a meat cleaver stuck in his skull after the weapon was thrown out of a window during a fight between a couple living next door in a town in Cambodia.
The point of the blade landed directly on Chea Sokkot’s head as he was busy repairing his boat on the shore near his home, DailyMail reports.
Sokkot’s cousin, Touch Channa and her 30-year-old husband, Sim Thea had reportedly engaged in an argument on July 13 when the husband slashed his wife’s clothes open with the meat cleaver.
The woman successfully disarmed her husband and threw the cleaver out the window towards the river behind their home.
That was when Sokkot was directly hit.
Police say the woman had been arrested for causing the accident.
Sokkot, 29, was immediately rushed to the hospital for surgery with the knife still stuck in his head.
A doctor said the injuries were “severe” and his condition was serious but “stable”.
He said: “If the knife had been removed straight away the bleeding could cause a fatal accident.”
