Sokoto: Man kills wife, three others with pestle
The police in Sokoto have arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife and three other persons.
Taiwo Adio killed 43-year-old woman Yemisi Adio using a pestle, the state’s police spokesman, El-mustapha Sani said in a statement.
He said that the incident took place on Saturday at the old Airport Area of Sokoto city.
Mr Adio reportedly used the same weapon with which he killed his wife, to kill the three other persons.
The other victims include: Rachael Adewole, 42, Dennis Adewole,10, and Esther Badelu, 14, all of the same address.
The police spokesman further said that the pestle had been recovered as an exhibit, while the case was being investigated by the command’s Criminal Investigation Department.
“All the corpses had been deposited at the morgue of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, for post mortem,” he added..
