Man, 62, cuts nose to spite face

President Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Turkey survived a coup attempt.
President Tayyip Erdogan face is still intact, for now

Earlier today, the Turkish government led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that it is was not done with the witch-hunting of the alleged planners and supporters of the failed coup attempt of July 15, 2016.

And to further its agenda, it issued a decree to release 38,000 prisoners in an apparent move to make space for coup plotters in jails.

This move to release what could be robbers and rapist from the cells only reinforces the beliefs of those who believe the coup was actually orchestrated by Erdogan or his sympathisers.

Or that the coup has provided another excuse for Erdogan to deal with his enemies, real or purported.

And who would be the new occupants of the prison cells?

Probably from the 40,029 detentions and 20,355 arrests that have been made after last month’s failed coup attempt as announced by the Turkish prime minister. Or maybe from the 79,900 people removed from public duty since the failed coup.

Obviously the Turkish prisons would be needing more space to take in all these new occupants.

The real question is how far is Erdogan willing to go with his purge. Until there is no face or country left?.
