Man, 40, kills Okada rider over N100 fare in Katsina
A 40-year-old man, identified as Isiya Inusa, has reportedly confessed to killing an okada (motorcycle) rider over N100 fare.
Isiya was paraded at the Katsina State Police Command’s headquarters on Thursday.
He was said to have attacked his victim along Kankara-Kabuki Road, in Katsina.
“Yes, I slaughtered him with my knife. I asked him to take me to Kabuki village from Kankara. He demanded N100 as fare. I did not tell him I did not have that money on me,” he reportedly said in Hausa.
“On the way, I brought out my knife and slaughtered him. The police later arrested me while riding on his (the victim) motorcycle.”
Police say Isiya actually tricked his 43-year-old victim, identified as Al-Hasan Usani, into taking him to Kabuki village in order to snatch the motorcycle.
