Lagos: Here’s proof the flood in Bariga is man-made
Man (woman too, and boy and girl) buys soda drink (sorry, ‘minerals’) from Mama Chukwuemeka, gulps content of bottle, throws empty bottle into gutter.
That’s how we got here.
It rained in parts of Lagos yesterday, and some apartments in Bariga were needlessly flooded.
The showers were heavy but lasted no more than 30 minutes. Alas! Rooms at Onileyan Street took in stinking black water.
“The water came from the gutter,” a resident told Newsroom this morning.
“The gutter was blocked,” he said.
What blocked the gutter?
