JUST IN: Kemi Adeosun bows to pressure, resigns as finance minister
Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun has reportedly resigned from the position with immediate effect.
She had been accused of forging her NYSC exemption certificate, a criminal offence in Nigeria.
Although Adeosun, since the report, refused to publicly address the allegation, she was said to have submitted her resignation letter following the backlash.
Daily Trust reports that a source claims Adeosun felt that her position is becoming untenable and is hurting President Buhari’s 2019 ambition to return to office.
