Inside Barack Obama and Donald Trump’s “very friendly” 90-minutes meeting

None of them (Barack Obama and Donald Trump) – well, except for the Republican candidate, probably – would have thought they would later meet to share “visions” as White House leaders during the lead up to the keenly-contested United States presidential election.

That was the fate of the two former warring adversaries as they met today and held a 90-minute transition meeting in the Oval Office on Thursday.

Obama told Trump in their ‘first’ meeting that saw them put past antagonisms aside to discuss their respective policies: “If you succeed, the country succeeds,” CNN reports.
