Here are the touching tributes Pele’s children penned to him as he passes on
Edson ‘Pele’ do Nascimento, the Brazilian football legend who became a global football star at age 17 after shining at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, died on Thursday, December 29, 2022, nine days after the end of the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup.
Pele, regarded as one of the world’s greatest footballers, won three World Cups during his 22 years of senior footballing career.
Here’s what his family are saying about his death.

And grandpa Dico you are my idol and always will be, no matter where you are, on earth or in heaven, and I will always be your bean Tutu, now only good memories are left together, I know that no matter where you’re you’ll always be supporting me and blessing me up in everything in life and always will be with me and I have a clear conscience that you go to heaven with an image of me of a very present grandson who always loved you very much and always wanted to be with you.
