Governor Amosun is Nigeria’s superman and here’s why
April 24, 2017
Idiat Babalola will never forget today — the day she escaped mob lynching.
And for what? “Supporters” of late senator Isiaka Adeleke apparently believed the woman shouldn’t attend the senator’s burial. Why? Because she “will be unveiled as running mate to APC’s anointed candidate for next year’s governorship election in Osun State”. They felt Adeleke should be that candidate.
So they scattered the canopy where dignitaries were seated as they graced Adeleke’s burial. Even Adedeji, Adeleke’s brother and singer Davido’s father, was seated here.
And then protesters wanted to attack Babalola who is Senior Special Adviser to Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Diaspora. She was representing the governor.
But Ogun State governor Ibikunle Amosun turned superman and shielded the woman.
And a police officer was gun ready. Thank God he didn’t have to pull the trigger.
