Five Nigerian women that are likely to influence the 2019 elections
Aisha Buhari

Patience Jonathan
Patience Jonathan, wife of former President of Nigeria is a constant name in political discussions across the country. As a First Lady, she was very vocal against her husband’s ‘enemies’. Even after their tenure ended, her supporters still want to see them Aso Rock. Although, Patience Jonathan is facing series of battles with EFCC over her seized money in Skye bank, she’s expected to campaign against President Buhari/APC in South South Nigeria come 2019.
Aisha Alhassan
An interview with BBC Hausa has shown President Muhammadu Buhari’s Women Affairs Minister, Aisha Alhassan saying she would support Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, for the 2019 presidential election. Throwing her hat into the ring this early only means she’s going all out- not minding her current portfolio.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu
Her term on the floor of the Senate has not been uneventful, as she has locked horns with Senator Dino Melaye on a couple of occassions. Feelers from Bourdillion suggest her husband Asiwaju Bola Tinubu may be giving the Presidency a shot in 2019.
