First Bank director announced as Jimi Agbaje’s deputy
Lagos Governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje has picked his running mate in the February 2019 poll.
Agbaje’s camp announced on Thursday that Mrs Haleemat Busari will stand next to him as his deputy when Lagosians decide who governs the state next.
Busari is described in a statement by the Director of Media and Publicity campaign, Felix Oboagwina, as versatile and highly recommended.
Busari, 54, graduated from the University of Lagos as a lawyer. She currently serves as director in First Bank, Sierra Leone, and was once a director in Zain Nigeria Ltd (now Airtel Nigeria).
Her mother, Late Mrs Mujibat Giwa (nee Shonibare), was a princess in the Kosoko royal family in Isale Eko.
Oboagwina said Busari’s “versatility and connections as a professional in corporate governance” stands her out as a worthy pick as Agbaje’s deputy.
Agbaje and Busari will be hoping to upset Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Obafemi Hamzat in the poll next year.
