Fela Durotoye emerges PACT presidential candidate, shares 10-point agenda on security, power, healthcare, others

Fela Durotoye on Thursday emerged the consensus presidential candidate of the Presidential Aspirants Coming Together (PACT).

He was voted ahead of Kingsley Moghalu and nine others in an election process witnessed by Oby Ezekwesili.

“I take this nomination as a Consensus Candidate with great sense of responsibility; knowing that I and our generation have been entrusted with a mandate to show Nigerians the kind of leadership they truly desire and deserve and to inspire the hope of a better future; a New Nigeria,” Durotoye said after his emergence as the party’s sole candidate.

The 2019 presidential hopeful said PACT “don’t expect it to be easy. We will be held to higher standards than the establishment, our methods & intentions scrutinized more closely to determine if we are the same old wine, repackaged in new wine skins.”

Though he said he wasn’t arrogant to claim that he has all the answers, Durotoye promised that the party is “nothing like what our nation has experienced over the last 58 years.”

“We will earn your trust, and eventually, your votes,” he said via his Twitter.
