DSS arrests former Benue governor, Suswam over security concerns

Former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) over security issues in the state.
Suswam’s arrest follows a petition to the DSS by state governor Samuel Ortom. Ortom has accused his predecessor of planning to make the state ungovernable.
Channels TV confirmed that Suswam was arrested Wednesday.

Suswam had been arrested sometime in 2017, after the DSS claimed it uncovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from a property allegedly belonging to him at number 44 Aguiyi Ironsi Way, Maitama-Abuja.
