Domestic Violence: Wives now beat their husbands more – LASG
Lagos State Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem has raised alarm over the increasing rate of husband beaters in the state.
While briefing newsmen in the state, Kazeem said the rate at which housewives now batter their husbands is on the increase.
Kazeem added that the agency in charge of domestic violence has recorded no fewer than 138 of domestic violence against men in the last one year.
The commissioner said a total number of 1,771 cases of domestic and sexual violence were reported during the period under review.
He further advised members of the public to dial the helpline – #6820# – to report cases of violence for prompt and appropriate action.
