Confirmed 2019 Election Result: Buhari edges Atiku in Lagos
President Muhammadu Buhari has added Lagos State to his victorious grounds after edging fierce opposition Atiku Abubakar.
Buhari amassed a total of 580,825 votes while Atiku amassed a total of 448,015 votes.
The total number of registered voters in Lagos is 6,313,507 while the total number of accredited voters is 1,196,490.
The total number of votes cast is 1,156,590 while the total number of valid votes is 1,089,567. A total of 67,023 votes were rejected.
There was violence in some parts of Lagos on the day of the election. The Collation Officer Prof. F.K Salako said at least 180 polling units were affected by the disruptions.
Lagos makes it 12 states Buhari has won out of 20 states (including the FCT) that have been announced so far.
The collation of election results is currently ongoing in Abuja.
