65-year-old man allegedly rapes primary 4 pupil in Edo
A 65-year-old man, Matthew Omokhafe, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a primary 4 pupil in Akoko-Edo LGA of Edo State.
Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, the Chairman, Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), disclosed that the child’s custody has been handed over to the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
Oviawe assured that the suspect would be charged to court to ensure that justice is served.
There is a worrying increase in the rate of child defilement and rape in Nigeria.
