Young man shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Ado-Ekiti
Residents of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital are still in shock after a man was murdered by unidentified gunmen on Monday evening at about 5:30 pm.
This is coming just three days after the assassination of Mr Bunmi Ojo a close ally to the former Gov. Segun Oni in the state capital.
Report from an eye-witness said the incident happened around the junction close to the end of the newly constructed overhead bridge at the Okesa/Ojumose Area.
The victim was a passenger on a moving commercial motorcycle who was doublecrossed by the gunmen on another motorcycle.
They ordered the rider of the motorcycle conveying the man to stop after which, they shot the passenger and fled immediately.
The incident caused panic for shop owners around Bisi Maret who were forced to close early and hurry home.
