Woman drags bed company to court after falling and sustaining injuries during sex

A bed company in Berkshire, United Kingdom is being dragged to court by a displeased customer who claims she was thrown off the bed during a sex romp.

The disgruntled woman, Claire Busby, had fallen from the bed and sustained injuries in her spinal cord as she shifted position, BBC reports.

Busby, 46, said she was “catapulted” off the bed.

She has sued the company, Beds Are Uzzz, with claims that the bed was in a “defective state”.

Though the company has refuted Busby’s claims, the High Court has now been saddled with the responsibility to ascertain if her injuries were actually caused or contributed to by defects in the king-size bed as she alleged.

BBC reports that the court heard Busby was injured a week after the bed’s delivery while with her partner John Marshall. She was said to have told the court that she landed on her head as the bed gave way.

“I spun around, I put my hand down and then I felt like I was catapulted off the back of the bed,” Busby is quoted as saying. “I fell to the side and heard what felt like a spring in my body snap”.

She alleged that the two divans which made up the base of the bed were not properly fastened together, while two “gliders” – or feet – were missing from the end of the bed.

Busby’s attorney, Winston Hunter, claimed the bed company was liable for the mishap, despite that the circumstances of the accident are “unusual”.

The company’s representatives, however, told the court that the bed was properly assembled at the time of delivery, and even if the two gliders were missing it would not have caused the bed to collapse.
