“We are looking into the situation” – Yabatech lecturer on students’ protest
A lecturer at the Yaba College of Technology, Epe Campus, has said the school’s authorities were looking into the students’ complaints.
The students, mainly from the Department of Agriculture, had embarked on a protest Wednesday morning, citing lack of basic amenities and preferential treatment by the management.
Dr. Akinfemi, an immediate past Head of the Department, told Neusroom that the situation was being addressed.
“The sitting H.O.D is presently in Lagos to attend a meeting, but the students have barricaded the gate,” he told us Wednesday noon.
“They said they are being marginalised, there is no water, there is no light, the laboratories are not functional.
“A representative of the college is currently present with them to address them on this matter,” Dr. Akinfemi added.
