WATCH: Tricycle rider runs over LASTMA official in a bid to evade arrest
A tricycle rider, in his bid to evade arrest Friday afternoon, ran over a LASTMA official at Ajayi Farm, Ikeja area of Lagos.
The rider who rode against traffic, allegedly sped off immediately after knocking the officer down. He was, however, arrested after a chase.
The officer has been treated.
Few months ago, a LASTMA operative, Adeyemo Rotimi, was shot dead by a SARS officer in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos.
Assault on law enforcement officers is considered a grave offence.
