Angry sympathisers have called on the government to put an end to truck operations on major roads in order to lessen tragedies such as the tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday.

When Newsroom correspondents visited the scene of the accident Friday morning, there was heavy traffic on the bridge, as emergency operatives continue to clear debris on the road.

One of the aggrieved sympathisers bemoaned the lack of regard for citizens’ lives by the government, and attempted to rally others to embark on a peaceful protest.
