Self-styled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu was once a staunch advocate of unity in Nigeria.
In 2012, during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, the then-UK resident joined others in clamouring for peace and unity in fight against Boko Haram.
Today, Kanu’s speeches are mostly characterised by hate and bigotry as he calls for secession of the Igbo land from Nigeria.
