As election day draws near, the people of Kano have invaded the roads to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday afternoon.
Kano governor Abdullahi Ganduje had promised Buhari five million votes from the state alone.
Many have said it is why the President refused to openly speak against Ganduje when videos of him allegedly receiving bribe from contractors were released to the public.
Buhari had won 1,903,999 votes in Kano, his highest in any state, during the 2015 presidential election and is believed to enjoy massive support in the state.
The presidential election will hold in 16 days.
