WATCH: Festus Keyamo lies, uses old video as propaganda on Buhari’s behalf
President Muhammadu Buhari announced in November last year that his government was set to increase Police salary.
Buhari’s mouthpiece in his reelection campaign, Festus Keyamo (SAN) on Thursday (today) posted a video of jubilant police officers praising the President “for taking care of their welfare by increasing their salaries”.
But Neusroom can confirm Keyamo’s assertion is a lie. The video in question is at least three years old and was recorded shortly after Buhari was voted into power.

Since the 2019 election campaign was officially flagged off, respective party representatives have been circulating a lot of fake news and propaganda.
Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar also came under much heat mid-December when he claimed to have called a widow of slain Lt. Col. Ibrahim Sakaba.
The campaigns from the camps of many political parties, we have observed, have not really been issue-based.
