So the government spent over N5 billion putting Abuja airport in great shape and all we get is a flooded arena?
It rained heavily in Abuja and the airport became water logged with passengers having to take off their shoes to board the airport shuttle from where their plane stopped to the airport the lobby.
That’s what reports say a video making rounds online suggests. The video is real. But the story is as reliable as rumours of President Muhammadu Buhari’s death.
But the fake Abuja airport flooding report was widely circulated.
Even Punch published it but later appeared to have deleted it.
An aviation industry news platform that also ran the news later apologized for missing the mark.
