VIDEO: How former Nigerian footballer jumped to his death in Brazil
Chukwuneta Anyabolu, a former Nigerian footballer based in Brazil, has met his untimely death while chasing a man who defrauded him in the country.
Anyabolu was said to have been duped of goods worth millions of dollars by his associates identified as Daniel and Ezenwa.
The duo were said to have ran away with the goods supplied by other business partners.
Anyabolu’s failure to remit the profits made from the transactions to his suppliers, however, resulted to threat which prompted Anyabolu’s manhunt of the duo.
After several weeks of searching for Daniel and Ezenwa, Anyabolu got information that Ezenwa was in a building in the city centre.
Ezenwa, with the help of policemen, was apprehended in one of the top floors of the building. He then slipped off while he was being led away, and jumped through the window of the third floor.
Chukwuneta and one of the policemen, while chasing after him, also jumped through the window but fell terribly on the concrete floor.
The policeman broke his sheen after landing on his feet, while Anyabolu, who was in his 50s, landed with his head and died instantly.
