Victor Moses signs two-year contract extension with Chelsea
Nigeria’s Victor Moses’ has been rewarded with a two-year contract extension by English club side Chelsea, following an impressive run of form.
Moses, 26, has become an integral part of coach Antonio Conte’s winning team.
The team has soared to the top of the English Premier League table, with Moses playing a key role.
The extension will see him remain at the club till 2021.
“I feel very excited,” the wing-back told the club website.
“I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal.
“Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season.
“We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence.
“I just want to keep on enjoying it and working hard for the team,” he added.
The winger had a rocky start to his Chelsea career after a high-profile move from Wigan in 2012, spending the majority of his time on loan at various clubs.
Michael Emenalo, Chelsea technical director, said Moses had earned his new deal after flourishing under the new manager and the club is excited to secure his service for two more years.
“This new contract is testament to Victor’s hard work and dedication to succeed at Chelsea and we believe he will be a big part of our future success,” Emenalo added.
