Two fallen containerised trucks cause gridlock in Apapa-Mile 2
July 25, 2018
Two container-carrying trucks have fallen underneath Sunrise bridge inward Mile 2 from Apapa this afternoon.
A loaded 40ft container fell on the main carriageway inward Mile 2, while another loaded 20ft container fell on the service lane stuck at the failed portion.
The situation is already denying other motorists access inwards Mile 2, and causing gridlock.
Owners are making frantic efforts for removal of the trucks, according to LASTMA.
Commuters have been complaining about the gridlock on the road for weeks, and are yet to see any changes, despite Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s visit to the road days ago.
