Tinubu Set to Attend Inauguration of Ghana President-elect, Mahama

Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, is set to fly to Ghana capital, Accra, for the inauguration of its President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, on January 7.
This was disclosed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy.
He explained that the President will leave Abuja on Monday, January 6.
The Ghanian president-elect is said to have extended the invitation to his Nigerian counterpart.
Among delegates to accompany Tinubu on the trip are the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and other senior government officials.
Mahama had, previously, served as the 12th president of Ghana between 2011-2017.
He was subsequently reelected in the country’s elections held on December 7, 2024.
