The suspects said their gang leader shot and killed Aisha Alli-Balogun because attempted to flee the scene by speeding off.
The kidnapped students and staff of Nigerian Turkish International Colleges, Ogun State, were released on Tuesday evening.
One Philip Kakadu aka General Kakadu, 29, and Romeo Council aka Raw, 40, have been identified as ringleaders of the gang that carried out the kidnap.
