Suspected billionaire kidnapper Evans drags police to court over “unlawful detention”

Alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, has dragged the Nigeria Police Force to court over “unlawful detention.”

Evans, in a suit filed on Wednesday (today), claims that his continued detention without being charged to court is an infringement on his fundamental human rights.

The suspect was arrested on June 10 and police claim they’re still conducting investigations.

The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, SARS and the Lagos State Police Command were all listed as respondents in Evans’ suit marked FHC/L/CS/1012/2017.
