Shock, hurt as man discovers murdered Nigerian wife was a sex worker
Gareth McGraa was still nursing hopes of getting back with his Nigerian wife of 10 years when he got the shock of his life.
Gareth and Jessica had split when their six-year-old son was just a year old. Since then, they had several reunions and they, Gareth said, were hoping to end up back together permanently.
But London-based Jessica was found dead, February 12, in a flat in Aberdeen, Scotland where she had gone on a two-day working trip as a sex worker.
And Gareth has to deal with the grief of loosing his wife and the shock of the revelations.
The 56-year-old said he believed Jessica was making money to fund the high life she loved by selling hair extensions, Daily Record reports.
He also said he knew her as a devout Christian.
“I honestly believed that she was making her money from hair extensions. She was a very pious girl – she dragged me to church even and that’s not easy.”
But Jessica, 37, was much more than Gareth knew which is why he’s hurting.
She was also a £220-an-hour hooker who sold sex in cities across the UK, The Sun reports.
Investigations have shown that she charged up to £1,800 a night on an escort site where she took bookings from men, women and couples.
On her profile on the site, she described herself as “classic, stylish, naughty, horny, sexy” and promised to leave clients with exciting memories.
Raunchy topless photos had her face blurred out.
“My face is covered to protect myself as I’m ultra discreet. I have my regular job and a private life. Do be polite when you call me,” she wrote.
To explain her regular holidays around the world, pictures of which she posted online, she told her friends she earned good money as a stripper.
Jessica was living in London at the time of death, but she flew back to Scotland every few weeks and made stops in Dundee, Edinburgh and Inverness.
She was found dead on Friday, two days after she last logged on to her profile on the escort site.
Jessica and Gareth met, 2005, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where the latter was working as a chief mechanic with an oil company.
They got married shortly after and had a son who is now six years old.
Bala Wadzani Chinda, 25, from Aberdeen, has appeared in court for Jessica’s murder. He has been remanded in custody as hearing is billed to continue next week..
